Our Studio

Agni Yoga Studio is a small studio in the heart of downtown Twisp Washington, surrounded by mountains, rivers and the impeccable beauty of nature. Because Agni means "Fire" in sanskrit, we have created a space that is heated by FAR infrared heat. Infrared provides a therapeutic and deep penetrating form of heat that detoxifies the body by expelling toxins and pollutants. Each class varies with tempature and is noted on the class schedule. All classes offered at Agni are suitable for everyone, regardless of experience.

Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension, reduces inflammation, and promotes health and well being. Regular practice will help you  improve and perfect poses, correct posture and positioning, and improve your breathing and outlook on life.

Our Classes

Agni Flow ~ Using the healing penetration of FAR infrared heat to warm up the studio to 85-90 degrees. Infrared heat provides a therapeutic and deep penetrating form of heat that detoxifies the body by expelling toxins and pollutants. The sequences in the flow class are fun, challenging and easy to follow. We will often use music to enhance the practice.

Divine Flow ~ Using the framework of a vinyasa flow class, Divine flow incorporates the principles of Tantra and Kundalini yoga to deepen the spirit of the practice. This class includes a variety of traditional asanas as well as mantra, pranayama, mudra and kriya. The design of each class will follow the innermost working of our spiritual practice of yoga, clearing our Chakras, healing our bodies and creating movement in our energy pathways. The studio is heated to 85 degrees.

Gentle Flow ~ This class is a combination of gentle vinyasa and yin yoga.  It is suited for all levels, especially newer students and students working with injuries and limitations. Enjoy a beautiful combination of connected breath with movement in an easier slower practice.  Followed by a deep passive static stretching with longer holds.  This helps to promote the slow, steady awakening of the connective tissues where most of our discomfort lies within around the joints, hips, lower back and shoulders and neck. Each practice offers a variety from flow, to Yin, to even some pranayama and meditation. All tailored to calm the mind and relax the body.

This class is not heated.

Yoga Sculpt ~This class is a total body workout and an excellent addition to your yoga practice. This fun, high energy and challenging class is designed to tone your major muscle groups, build core strength and improve your overall cardiovascular healthwhile adding light free weights to our easy to follow class. Yoga sculpt will combine Agni Flow movement and free wieght training to fun and upbeat music. You will definately feel yourself become stronger, leaner and more flexible. Studio is heated to 75-80 degrees

Hatha ~ Hatha yoga is the yoga tradition most familiar to Western culture. The term is derived from the Sanskrit ha, meaning "sun," and tha, meaning "moon." The practice aims to unite the active and receptive qualities represented by each celestial being. A sequence to asanas (postures) pranayama  (breathing) and mental focus (drishti) designed to strengthen, tone and detoxify the body and relax the mind. Studio is heat 85-95 degrees

Deep Yoga ~ This class cultivates the Yin in the Yang, centering core stability and functional strength. It is a slower flow with poses held to cultivate awareness of internal and external alignments and functional anatomy. A yin style will be offered occasionally to foster balance and cultivate our kinesthetic sense as one relaxes all muscular effort. These skills will help you deepen your understanding of your body and help you break through barriers in your practice. Modifications will be offered for all levels of flexibility and mobility. Studio is heated to 75 degrees.

Yin Yoga 

  A slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time. For beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.

Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body (the tendons, fascia, and ligaments) with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.

This class is excellent for beginners and students who are looking for a slow and quiet practice.
