Agni Yoga Studio is a small studio in the heart of downtown Twisp Washington, surrounded by mountains, rivers and the impeccable beauty of nature. Because Agni means "Fire" in sanskrit, we have created a space that is heated by FAR infrared heat. Infrared provides a therapeutic and deep penetrating form of heat that detoxifies the body by expelling toxins and pollutants. Each class varies with tempature and is noted on the class schedule. All classes offered at Agni are suitable for everyone, regardless of experience.
Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension, reduces inflammation, and promotes health and well being. Regular practice will help you improve and perfect poses, correct posture and positioning, and improve your breathing and outlook on life.
Using the framework of a vinyasa flow class, Divine flow incorporates the principles of Tantra and Kundalini yoga to deepen the spirit of the practice. This class includes a variety of traditional asanas, core work as well as mantra, pranayama, mudra and kriya. The design of each class will follow the innermost working of our spiritual practice of yoga, clearing our Chakras, healing our bodies and creating movement in our energy pathways. Divine Flow is a physically demading practice and is preferable that students have some background in yoga. The studio is heated to 85 -90 degrees.

Maintaining a flexible fidelity to asana sequences allows students the opportunity to nurture strong internal driste, or concentrated intention, while bringing genuine curiosity and awareness to the evolution of their practice over time. We will often use music to enhance our practice . Intermediate knowledge of proper pose alignment is expected; beginner yogis are encouraged to access one of our introductory yoga classes before attending. Barre Fusion classes use a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. Most of the exercises focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. We will often incorporate light handheld weights, small core fitness balls and resistance bands to bring the burn during all those reps. This is a fun class designed for ALL fitness levels. This class is a total body workout and an excellent addition to your yoga practice. This fun, high energy and challenging class is designed to tone your major muscle groups, build core strength and improve your overall cardiovascular healthwhile adding light free weights to our easy to follow class. Yoga sculpt will combine Agni Flow movement and free wieght training to fun and upbeat music. You will definately feel yourself become stronger, leaner and more flexible. Hatha yoga is the yoga tradition most familiar to Western culture. The term is derived from the Sanskrit ha, meaning "sun," and tha, meaning "moon." The practice aims to unite the active and receptive qualities represented by each celestial being. A sequence to asanas (postures) pranayama (breathing) and mental focus (drishti) designed to strengthen, tone and detoxify the body and relax the mind. Studio is heat 90- 100 degrees
This class cultivates the Yin in the Yang, centering core stability and functional strength. It is a slower flow with poses held to cultivate awareness of internal and external alignments and functional anatomy. A yin style will be offered occasionally to foster balance and cultivate our kinesthetic sense as one relaxes all muscular effort. These skills will help you deepen your understanding of your body and help you break through barriers in your practice. Modifications will be offered for all levels of flexibility and mobility. Studio is heated to 75 degrees.
A slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time. For beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.
Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body (the tendons, fascia, and ligaments) with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.
